faq

Here are answers to some common questions!

How do I manage my servers?

You can control of your server 24/7 with the admin panel, Allowing you to take control and remotely manage your server from anywhere!

The Admin Panel can be accessed at admin.wyvernservers.com on any device.

How do I upgrade my plan?

You can upgrade your plan anytime via your client dashboard.

How to get future updates?

All servers have an optionally "auto-update" feature that is located in startup.

For Minecraft, Set the version to "latest".

What is a vCPU?

A vCPU (Virtual Central Processing Unit) is a share of a physical CPU core that powers your server. It determines how fast and efficiently your server can handle tasks. Each vCPU provides additional processing power to ensure smooth performance for your hosting needs!

How many vCPUs do I need?

For Minecraft. Usually one vCPU will be fine, Additional will be useful if you are generating lots of terrain or a lot of active players.

However, If you are running a larger server, using plugins that allow multiple worlds (Multiverse plugins), or running lots of mods. Additional processing power will start to benefit you.

How much RAM do I need?

We recommend 2GB for older editions of Minecraft and 4GB for newer additions. However, if its for a smaller community and you use our default server.jar file (Paper MC), You could get away with 2GB or 3GB

However, If you are running a larger server, using plugins that allow multiple worlds (Multiverse plugins), or running lots of mods. Additional RAM will become a necessity you.
